About this product
The KMC e8 Turbo EPT is a bicycle chain for e-bikes with a 7- or 8-speed derailleur system. The chain has 122 links and a size of 1/2" x 3/32". KMC has developed the e8 Turbo for the higher loads that can occur on the chain in e-bike drives.
The chain features KMC's EPT treatment (EcoProTeQ), which provides the chain components with a corrosion-resistant surface treatment. Additionally, the e8 Turbo uses reinforced pin connections and the Double X Bridge profile for the chain plates. This profile supports shifting between gears. The chain is suitable for Bosch and other compatible 8-speed e-bike drive systems.
This chain is pre-waxed and can therefore be mounted without prior oil lubrication. For maintaining the wax layer, KMC recommends using a suitable chain wax and not mixing it with conventional chain oil.
