About this product
An Ebike lithium-ion battery is composed of various cells. When this battery ignites, it is virtually impossible to extinguish. The fire usually starts in one cell but spreads like a chain reaction throughout the entire battery. This is accompanied by explosions that release enormous heat (up to 1200°) and smoke.
With the design of the Mirage Ebike Battery Safe Michel, we have developed a bag made from heavy fire-resistant material, which is strong enough to withstand the heat up to 1200° and the high pressure that occurs when a bicycle battery catches fire.
Various tests have been conducted by the company Efectis – a globally recognised firm in the field of fire safety. Due to its unique construction and the fire-resistant material from which the bag is made, the bag has performed well in the tests conducted.
For these tests, heavy Ebike batteries that were ignited were used.
The Mirage Ebike Battery Safe is the solution for safer storage and charging of Ebike batteries: in the showroom in the workshop when renting Ebikes at home, in the garage or shed, only suitable for batteries mounted on the rear carrier.
